Turkey Gravy Recipe

You cannot think of using any other Gravy when having this Recipe!  Basic, warm, delicious from scratch? Serve it atop with your mashed potatoes, turkey stuffing, and whatever else you like!

MAKES: 8 servings


  • Drippings from 1 roasted turkey
  • 1 to 1-1/2 cups turkey or chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and white pepper to taste


  1. Pour turkey drippings into a 2-cup measuring cup. Cool a bit then use a spoon to skim fat on the top, reserving 2 tablespoons; set aside. Add enough broth to the drippings to measure 2 cups.
  2. In a small sauce, mix together flour and reserved fat until well incorporated. Slowly add in the drippings mixture and bring to a boil; constantly whisking for 2 minutes or until thickened up. Season with salt and white pepper to taste. Serve hot, or keep on very low heat until you’re ready to serve.
