Tres Leches Cake Recipe

This is the most delicious Tres Leches Cake I have ever had. Oh my what a rich and sinful dessert. All of which I love. This is so moist and well, yummy! The preparation includes 3 parts: the cake, the filling, and the frosting.

INGREDIENTS

  • Ingredients for Cake

  • 1(18 ounce) package white cake mix
  • 1 12cups flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 1cup sugar
  • 23cup cooking oil
  • 1teaspoon vanilla
  • 1teaspoon baking powder
  • 1cup milk
  • Filling

  • 1(12 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1(14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk(NOT evaporated milk)
  • 12pint whipping cream or 12 pint heavy cream
  • Frosting

  • 12pint whipping cream or 12 pint heavy cream
  • 3tablespoons sugar
  • 1teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and use cooking spray to spray a 13 x 9″ cake pan (Pam).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine well all cake ingredients and pour into prepared cake pan.
  3. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove and cool for 20 minutes.
  4. While the cake is baking, mix filling ingredients together, cover and refrigerate until cold.
  5. For frosting, beat the cream until soft peaks form; blend in sugar gradually and add vanilla extract.
  6. When cake is done, allow to cool; then fill with milk filling.
  7. You can poke holes in the cake or use a flavor injector.
  8. Carefully spread the whipped cream onto top of the cake and decorate.
