Best Horchata Recipe

 Awesome Recipe, delicious, quick and easy to make Horchata at home. You should definitely try it!
  • 1-2/3 cups uncooked white long-grain rice
  • 5 cups water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  1. Combine the rice and 2 cups water in a blender, pulse to grind until the rice begins to break up, about 1 minute. Add the last 3 cups water and blend for 30 seconds more. Soak at room temperature from 3+ hours.
  2. Strain the rice water through cheesecloth or a fine sieve into a large pitcher, throw away the rice. Mix cinnamon sticks, sugar, milk and vanilla into the rice water. Chill.
  3. When done, stir well and pour into ice-filled glasses. Garnish, if desired. Enjoy!
